Cottage Farms is a large apple and pear packing facility based in Horsmonden, Kent, processing millions of boxes of fruit every year.
During their busiest period, Cottage Farms handle 55,000 apples per hour. They check their products inside and out to ensure they reach customers in the best condition.
Cottage Farms’ Managing Director Chris Browning shared with us an inspiring desire to increase on-site electricity generation to minimise their site’s impact.
In May 2019, as part of a cold store extension, Harvest Green utilised the additional roof space to generate additional power through a Solar PV install.
