Every child deserves the chance to thrive. Yet across the UK, many young people grow up facing poverty, deprivation and limited access to opportunity.
In Ilfracombe, home to our HQ, 35% of children live in poverty compared to the wider Devon average of 1.5%.
Harvest Green Futures was created to help change that. We are a dedicated charity working alongside businesses and communities to raise funds and deliver meaningful support for the next generation.
Our mission is simple: tackle child poverty and provide access to education, services and opportunities that open doors to brighter futures.
Why Harvest Green Futures is dedicated to this cause
Growing up in poverty can have lifelong consequences. Limited access to nutrition, safe housing and learning opportunities can restrict potential before it has the chance to develop.
We believe those barriers can and must be broken. By combining sustainability with social impact, we channel resources into initiatives that directly improve children’s lives.
Our support focuses
Funds raised by Harvest Green Futures are directed toward initiatives that give children the foundation they need to grow, succeed, and look forward to their futures. We focus on four key areas:

Tackling child poverty and deprivation
Through our grant process, we provide essential support for children and families facing financial hardship. This could include access to food, clothing, safe environments, and community services that reduce the immediate pressures of poverty.

Supporting education
Education is the gateway to opportunity. We help fund access to school resources, extracurricular activities, and learning programmes so children can gain the knowledge and confidence they need to shape their futures.

Creating opportunities
Beyond education, children deserve chances to discover passions, talents, and career pathways. From sport and arts to vocational training and mentoring, we ensure opportunities reach those who need them most. We are proud to also offer work experience and apprenticeships within Harvest Green Developments to nurture and inspire talented young children.

Building services that make a difference
We work with local organisations to provide vital services for children and families – whether that’s after-school clubs, wellbeing support, or programmes designed to raise aspirations and confidence. A huge thank you to local charities and organisations that have welcomed our support and aspirations to support the community and poverty that sits within it.
Donations and fundraising
We rely on donations, fundraising and community initiatives to deliver impact. Every pound raised is reinvested into projects that support the next generation.
Harvest Green Futures is also supported by Harvest Green Developments, with a portion of annual business profits donated directly to the charity.
